1910年的苹果和现在的苹果不是同样的一批苹果，句子要表达的是数量上的是两倍的概念。a选项首先apples作为produce的宾语，说明这个apples是现在的apples。但是用that来作为定语从句中的宾语来指代的话，则是指的是1910年的apples，是不是矛盾呢！类似的问题OG中还出现过，一时想不起来是哪道题了，留意的话你应该会看到的。

说的有道理,OG里面我记得的确有类似的问题. 可以提醒一下楼主,就是那道"东海岸和西海岸的地震"那个题(题号我记不清了)

另外, "the apples that it has in 1910" 如果此处that修饰apple的话, 宾语从句的先行词that应该省略. (根据简洁性原则能省则省)

完完全全相同的东西采用it/THOSE，地震用的是it,可见灯能源用的都是it错的
不同时间的东西用that/THOSE
