我还要考托福吗？

大虾们好，小弟新来，gmat730，去年9月从英国回来，想申请明年秋季的美国mba, 现在在中国银行国际信贷部工作，到明年该有两年半的工作经验了，gpa大概3。3左右，但郁闷的是托福，改了题以后好像好难适应，作了好几次模拟都一般，痛苦死了，紧接下来银行又要有项目，估计两个月都没太多时间看书。九月份之前托福看来难考到好成绩。我在英国拿的是商科硕士学位，是不是不用考托福了，各位大虾能不能指点一下，我这种情况哪些学校不用我递交托弗了呀？

我在美国拿的博士，马上要拿第二硕士了。

名校一般要考TOEFL，除非你是美国4年的本科，否则要考。我知道Harvard就是这么要求的。

只有哈佛才变态一点，说是highly recommend TOEFL if you only have graduate degree in English-speaking countries but do not have undergraduate degree in English-speaking countries。其他的名校都不要求，只要有了硕士学位就可以。

我也是英国念书回来，以前考过TOEFL不过现在已经过期了，现在也懒得去考TOEFL了，呵呵，照样申请哈佛，说明自己的英语水平就行

我有一个US的PHD

然后STANFORD和我说了HIGHLY RECOMMEND TOEFL

我就再考了一次, 也没复习, 根本就不花什么时间的

T这种考试都考不过, 申请MBA也没什么意思, 英语都搞不定, 还能指望以后有什么好的JOB OFFER

我可以负责任地说，harvard 是一定要toefl,说明英语水平没用，这是他们明确对我说的。我也是在国外多年学习的，以为可以不考toefl但是不行

Dear, sometimes i really don't think a good toefl mark can mean u have good comprehensive english ability, lots of Chinese students cannot talk in english even they can get a full mark in the paper test. I am sure while face the foreigners I can speak fluent english and show direct mean without problems.

Howard, don't get defensive.  I'm sure she meant well in suggesting not stressing over TOEFL.  If it's listed as a requirement in the application process, why not take it now and get it over with?  It'll be one more thing off your mind.  It's probably not worth arguing with the admission's office over it.
