actually, you could ask them to send you a copy of reference letter. here are the questions:
1. How long and under what circumstances have you known the applicant? 2. Please describe a specific situation or project in which you have been able to observe the candidate. 3. What do you consider to be his/her major strengths? 4. What do you consider to be his/her major weaknesses? 5. What has been his or her greatest accomplishment within the organization?
