Very self-motivated and thus very impressive.

These days (at least this week), WSJ is free online. I don't know how WSJ controls user ID, otherwise, it can be shared.

以下是引用一件坎肩在2006-5-5 9:34:00的发言:

A good suggestion dude, but I have something not so clear.

You have clearly stated the objectives of the team: to enable members in getting admission of top 15 business schools. If you were to help people out why did you set up those "entry barriers"? You don't think people with lower GMAT are qualified to top b-schools right?

Another one is the difference between the requirment for male and female memebers. I don't believe it's a sign of discrimination anyway but it just make the statement look weird...

To the first question, yeah, if your G is less than 700, you still have some chances of admission by Top 15. But it is more difficult, right? For my team, I hope everyone can succeed in the application, So I need to consider these score factors.

For the second, whether you admit or not, if you are a female, you have better chance of admission by b-schools. US b-schools like Chinese females. This is easy to understand. Based on my experience in US, Chinese  females have better employment chances than males. You can call this a kind of discrimination. But since this is the fact, you have to accept the truth.

I think it is sth like free for one week. But for WSJ accounts, I heard if one account is logged on by two users at the same time, it will be automatically blocked. As a result, I need to find other methods to share WSJs with my team. I am still looking for a better solution. Maybe I need to get the paper-based version....

Still feel somewhat awkward after reading all post above, do all these so-called standards can guarantee to get into top schools? I doubt... It should essay and interview matter. But anyhow, thanks for LZ's effort to contribute and share so much resources with prospective applicants who meet his standards. Good luck all!

For WSJ, only the "what is new" part (page 1) can be downloaded by PDF. Kind of annoying.

Why not try New York Times? It is free, and it also has good articles.
