请教2提答案
1.(97.5) AS ) secretary of transportation from 1975 to 1977, william Coleman worked (to help )the bankrupt railroads in the northeastern United States (solved) their  (financial ) problems. 答案是C,是应该吧ed 去掉.但是好象A也有错呢?我觉得应该加冠词,因为secretary意思是秘书,又是单数.

2.(One of the problems ) of United states  agriculture that has persisted (during the )
1920's until the present day  is the tendency of farm income to lag (behind ) the costs of (production )  答案是B? during 表示在20年代的这段时间不行吗?
我选D,production 前面应该加冠词吧?

因为本人的题目是在小摊上买的,不知道做过同样题目的XDJM是否知道答案的对错呢?谢谢

我认为应该是C表示目的一定要用不定式to solve。

during 是不能和后面的until连用的。from the 1920's until the present day

这两个题bettyofarim都是在名词的单复数上犯难（我觉得这种问题在其他的语法问题中也挺多的）。对于单数可数名词不能单独出现（要加限定词）的语法点，有些例外，比如1题中，做为职业的表达，是一种例外；还有在表示种类的词后，可以单独使用；在一些固定词组中，也有例外：in honor of， in response of等。2题中的 production 做“生产”讲，是一种抽象概念。
对于这个语法点，我觉得其实非常难以把握，只有遇到一个，记一个，因为实际上好些词，我们难以确认到底是可数或不可数，只有记住一些常用的词。另外，在做题时，最好先考虑其他的比较好确认的明显错误：比如这里的两个题。当没有其他错误可选时，再考虑这个语法点。
