拿到PHD offer 的XDJM 拿到I20没？

I think it really depends.

For I-20, there are some technical tricks involved. As a matter of fact, you only need to prove 2 terms' tuition and 9 months' living expense, insteas of 12 months, as the summer can be excluded.

However, I don't think it is worth taking advantage of such tricks. 6000-7000 is not a big deal, dudes.

我开始怀疑自己的理解能力了！ INTERNATIONAL OFFICE 的LETTER 上是这么写的 ：

the estimate of average expenses for a student beginning studies for fall semester 2006 is $27,771 per year  

这说的是不是包括学费啊？

Bobo，你的I-20里没有分开列示各种费用吗？我记得学费、生活费、保险...都是分开算的。

For us, we cannot get new I-20 until we transfer our SEVIS files, so we might not be able to see the I-20 at this moment.

UH给了$21000，但international office说要financial backing $24000(记错了)，搞不清楚他们怎么算的，不过我觉得就是走个形式，因为dean说他们会帮我搞定。

我估计I-20上应该写的是tuition fee+stipend的数额，所以减完所有cost后应该是正数。至少我的老I-20上是这样的。

多谢leighyao，怎么里面还有tuition fee？难道还要从stipend里面扣？我的letter上可是写的tuition reimbursement啊。太没人性了把……
