小公司工作背景的人能申请到TOP 15的MBA吗?请前辈指教相应申请要点

各位前辈,

在CD潜水多日后, 终于也要开始申请了. 但一直在为自己小公司工作背景发愁, 因为发现似乎录取TOP15的都是大公司背景.因为只考虑TOP 15, 不然就不想去念了, 所以想问问有没有前辈也是小公司背景成功录取TOP15的, 相关申请要点在哪里?感谢.

我的简要背景.

国内重点财经院校本科, 澳大利亚金融硕士, 一国内大型证券公司两年经验.现在一家小型merchant bank工作, 主要做M&A和Private placement, 和国内外VC打交道较多. 公司较小, 总部在香港, 所以美国那边肯定不知道.现在一直考虑背景是否能吸引TOP 15.

我认识身边的朋友有一个去wharton的就是在小公司。美国人没听过的公司多了，再大也有不认识的。申请不在乎背景，在于自己怎样发挥这种背景的优势。

我觉得你一点问题没有，还有留学经验，这种人最好申请了。你TOP10都行，如果准备的好的话

我的公司虽然中国人了解一些, 可是美国人肯定不知道. 我也进了top 10了

some experience to share with applicants in Small firms

a typical interview question is： what reservation will we have in your application process? 我们会对你申请中的哪个方面有疑虑？

My answer is :I think maybe you will have reservation on my employers. All of them are small companies, with staff from 40-110. I assume that you haven't heard the brands at all.

And then I showed the interviewer lots of advantages of working in small companies.

1. booming small companies in booming industry in booming China, innovation, passion, feeling of growing up with the company.

2. opportunities to lead a team, make tough decisions and report to the executives directly in the beginning of your career.

3. few hirarchy. the values of respect for each other. the happiness in your job

4. though only 60 staff, ** coming from top B-schools, verifying that the culture of your company is fit for that of b-school

And the biggest advantage is that you are different from applicants in big 4, consulting, IB or fortune 500. you must have your unique advantages in your small but nice community.
