Congrats both are good schools. Cornell is a good finance school, also strong in marketing (as its name suggests its relationship with S C Johnson). Strong alumni network, strong relationship with many Fortune 500 and Wall Street. I believe the school can prepare you well for accessing most jobs desired by any MBA graduate. If you are interested in IB, frankly but with no disrespect, it takes hard work and "cultural fit" to get there. The latter is more important, regardless of which school you are from. 10-15% of class goes to top IB each year, most are locals. Plus, admittedly, it also takes a lot more travel effort to win an IB interview. Other types of jobs are less affected by school's location. Most top MCs also recruits in Johnson. You will meet plenty of engineers around, a fact that partly make Johnson School's downtoearth culture. The school is small but close. It seems to attract students who are liberal, less aggressive, but in no way less smart. If you are one of them, it's maybe right for you. Not sure about its reputation in China. It has big name in most other asian countries: Japan, Korea, Taiwan, hongkong and singapore. But again, competition for IB job in Hongkong is extremely competitive and is primarily dominiated by Wharton, Harvard, Chicago Last suggestion for you is to talk to the school's student volunteers. I believe both schools should have some sort of student ambassador. If you have time, it will certainly help your decision if you can visit the school. |
