看了1个小时，前人的n多链接，都没讨论清楚，不明白呀，另起一贴吧，省得大家也看那么长时间！

1 and结构不平行，是指什么？

看到一位nn说，and前后平行结构可以不考虑时态，即and前后时态不一致也行。此题就是一个证明：author Bharati Mukherjee has lived in England and Canada, and first came to the United States in 1961 to study at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.

2 在og259中，一位nn说：A do and do 对，

A do, and do错。

可是上面那句话不就是一个可以这样用的例子吗？

是不是说如果两个do时态一致，则A do, and do错。

如果两个do时态不一致，则A do, and do对。？

3 想再次确定一下，此题干事件发生的顺序是不是这样的：

（1）出生

（2）到美国学习

（3）成为美国国民

（4）现在一直在英国，加拿大居住。

这是我复习og以来看的最不明白的题，大家帮帮忙，解释一下吧!

1. There is no parallelism in 'being and born'.
2. The AND in A do x and do y indicates parallelism between x and y.  The AND in A did x, and (A) now does y, functions as a conjunction word.  They are functionally different ANDs.
3. The ordering should be 1, 4, 2, 3.  That's why 1 uses the past tense,
indicating event that took place in the past, and is now over.  4, is
past perfect because it's the earlier past event (happened before 2).
2 is past tense, following the reasoning of 1.

3. Past perfect tense is used for an event (4) that happened before another past event (2).  That's why 4 is in past tense and 2 is in past perfect.

对于你对的解释我表示同意，这个问题我现在算是初步明白了。

我的总结如下：

A do and do. 对

A do, and B do.对

A do1, do2..... , and doN. 对

特别注意：A do1, and do2. 对 （无论do1,do2时态是否一致！！！）

例子：时态一致og264,  时态不一致og 261.

Ahaha, senior moment.  Apologies!  Ok, past perfect is "had lived" and never appeared here.  I should have said present perfect (has lived) and it is used not because 4 happened before 2 (it's not clear), but because the event (lived in England and Canada) occured at an unspecified time in the past.

Semicolon is used to combine two complete sentences.

我感到最好的时间顺序是1,2,3; 我们不用把４也硬插到这个排序中，因为正如ｍｍ所说，他住在英国和加拿大的起始时间我们是不确定的。不过通过ｈａｓ　ｌｉｖｅｄ我们能知道他现在还住在英国和加拿大。

至于分号地用法，我的问题其实是：两句话之间能用句号，为什么要用分号？：）

Slightly different.  We don't know when she lived in Canada and England but we do know that happened in the past, and she no longer lives in England or Canada.  Has done means it happened at an unspecified time in the past, or it happen a number of times in the past and may happen again in the future.

You can't use comma because the two sentences are complete sentences.  For example, you can't say "I ate this, he ate that."  You have to either say "I ate this, and he hate that." or "I ate this; he ate that."
