7. The daytime_____bright because the Earth’s asmosphere scatters sunlight.
A. while sky is
B. has a sky
C. sky is
D. for the sky
答案是C. 语法书上说是因为daytime是形容词,所以缺少主语.可是我查了字典, daytime明明就是名词,这样的话为什么不能选B, 把bright看作是形容词后置修饰sky呢?
C is correct. the word 'daytime' is a noun but 'daytime' can modify another noun such as daytime sky, daytime telephone number, daytime television.
if B, the sentence would be 'The daytime has a sky bright becasue.....'; why把 bright看作是形容词后置修饰sky呢? in that case, we can say: the daytime has a bright sky. but it's still weird, the correct expression should be "there is a bright sky in the daytime."
the concept of 'daytime' is the time during the day between the time when it gets light and the time when it gets dark.
29题也有点疑惑
Since the advent of rock music in the 1950’s, the popular music of the United States has become a significant musical influence around world.
答案说选D, around world 中间应该加一个the, 我当时作的时候就很犹豫.因为since后面应该跟得是一个从句,该句显然示错的.一般说来with the advent of 才是一个比较惯用的词组结构.
around the world is corrrect. 'since' is a preposion here. for instance, since world war 2, since 2005, since Friday.
the advent of something ---- a phrase-----means 'the time when something first begins to be widely used'
we can say: before/since/with the advent of rock music
另外普样二中听力有一道疑问
23.
Woman: U look cold in tired. Could I buy you a hot cup of tea?
Man: Oh, that would be just what the doctor ordered. = 这正和偶意. thus, C is correct
Q: What does the man mean?
A. His doctor told him not to drink tea.
B. He’ll bring some tea to the doctor.
C. He would really like some tea.
D. Tea tastes too much like medicine.
为什么答案会是C? 这句话究竟是什么意思? 我没听明白.
