Choice E, the best answer, grammatically and clearly makes the statement “x and y can be crucial,” in which x and y are parallel clauses, each introduced by the conjunction how. This parallelism is preferable to the use of the noun phrase the frequency in A, B, and C. Furthermore, the frequency of inventory turnovers in A and B is less clear than how frequently the inventory turns over. In B and C is often does not agree with the plural compound subject. Choice D ungrammatically reverses the subject-verb order with is the inventory.

我看了OG10th 和 OG11th(Verbal)的解释了，都没有让我满意的！

Ｅ是对的，我没问题！但是Ｄ如果没有情态动词的问题，为什么错了？这里红色的部分我就没明白，为什么主谓结构在这里非得是"the inventory is"?

这里的语序到底应该怎么排？

1. How S+V? 就象这句的How items are placed on shelves?

2. How adv. S+V? 就象后半句的How frequently the inventory turns over?

我觉得are 和is 对仗的很好啊。

如果how frequently引导一个独立特殊疑问句，很显然句中主谓需要倒装，可是，这个句子整体是一个陈述句，how 只是引导的其中一个分句作为句子的某个成分，因此how后的成分需要正常的陈述句语序，不能倒装。应该为 how frequently the inventary turns over。

这句话不是are对仗is的问题，前句意思是“商品如何在货架摆放”因此how引导的这个句子需要被动，而how frequently 引导的句子不表被动，需用主动时态。

我明白了！也就是说从句的语序应该是正常的，至于前半句的is，是处于逻辑的被动考虑的，所以is提前；但后面半句，逻辑上就应该这么表达，不涉及倒装问题！
