I emailed the coordinator too and this is the reply "  

We are in the process of making decisions. All decisions will be made in late March."

Berkeley is the only school l applied this year so hopefully the result comes out soon.

Hi, Steve. I think UIUC is better than Berkeley. The problem in their program is that they don't have senior faculty, which makes their placement not good for several years. I don't think this status will remain throughout my 5 yrs study there, given Berkeley's reputation. But it's uncertain now and I'm more risk averse, I think.

I'm considering two schools right now. Probably will arrange a visiting and also am in the wait list of two other schools. So, not decided yet. I am extremely busy right now with many things going on at one time. I will make an anouncement and write sth in detail probably after spring break. Good luck to all of us!

It is impossible that UIUC is better than Berkeley! And actully some of the decisions have been made weeks ago.
