还有一个问题就是,如果我想申请20K GBP的HSBC LOAN,全额批下来的可能性大吗?(我是中国大陆的,上海,虽在美国公司做事,但薪水比较mean且固定)============I am not sure...i paid by myself totoally before so got no idea about the question on the loan. According to the case of my previous classmates, I dont think there would be any problem.
还有一个粗俗的问题,中国大陆过去的兄弟姐妹们,毕业后留在伦敦当地工作的多吗?---for MiFFT2005, seven. 感觉20000GBP的贷款,说多不多,因为如果毕业后有10K-30K的sign-on bonus,一下子也就还清了;说少又绝对不少,如果毕业后工作不理想,债路漫漫啊!----10k-30k sign on bunus...you are the most optimistic guy i' ve known so far...
兄弟你觉得当前伦敦就业形势如何啊,就中国大陆毕业生而言。问题比较妖俗,见谅了……^_^----good for this year...not sure for 2007
还有就是,相对而言,女生进投行是不是要比男生困难?---all cases are based on your backgroud and your luck.
I am not optimistic at all. I just read sign-on bonus from LBS 2005 employment report, so a bit curious if it is common for Chinese graduates.
btw, is there any case that LBS graduates apply for top IB analyst position if he/she previously doesnt have globla IB experience? will it be a shame? for example, apply for third-year analyst job rather entry-level associate job
那个emloyment report,在开头时候说Of the class, 95% completed,the survey and 62% supplied salary information.所以个人觉得薪水的问题只能做个参考
recently watched an interview by CCTV9 with a female president of an asset management company in London. She said that in trading, it's very male dominated, and it is not a particularly friendly environment to women. Recently more and more women have got into sales and research.
Hi, as to sign on bonus, that's too far for you and I don't think it's very important. Any one-off thing is not as important as selections that have long-term impact. Normally IB and consulting firm will pay sign on bonus if you join them before graduation, no matter you are Chinese or not. So the question is who get into the two industries.
As far as I know, no MiF applies for analyst position in IB even if they don't have IB experience.
As to payment, I used my credit card last year. But later I realized that the bank will charge me 1-2% FX charge as the payment is not in USD/CNY. Maybe you can try bank DD. My experience told me that bank charge dosen't matter, the most important is FX conversion loss as if you have USD bank notes, then you need to pay 1-2% chaozhuanhui (cash account to TT account) before remittance. Of course you need to pay for the bid/offer price if you don't have GBP.
getting 20k from HSBC is not difficult. I borrowed the money easily, and all my colleagues managed to get the money.
if you get a job in UK afterwards, don't worry about the repayment. the loan tenor is usually 5 to 7 years, and you don't start paying back until 6 months after finishing study. BUT, forget about the signing bonus!
also, feeling that you don't have a good understanding about IB. Think before leap.
