[探讨]关于Columbia的ED Deposit

其实挺喜欢columbia的，无论是reputation, curriculum, campus还是location，在我的ranking里仅次于harvard, stanford或者wharton。想都在第一轮申请这些学校，但是columbia的ED需要交5kUSD的deposit(not like this point though)。放在ED申请，害怕万一同时拿到，损失5kUSD；放在第二轮申请，又害怕机会不大，而其他三所也不幸落马。不知道前辈们都是如何解决这一问题的？可否既在ED申请，又可以在拿到其他3家offer的时候保住deposit?

I would worry more about the Statement of Commitment that you'll have to sign under the Honor System.

Early decision is for hte ones that take columbia as their first choice. Well i know people forfeit $5000 to go to hws. If columbia is not your first choice, at the same time you are not willing to give up $5000, then dont apply columbia during the early round.
