UVA or UC Berkeley ?

Hi friends,

I'm weighting between Darden (UVA) and Haas (UC Berkeley). I'd like to hear your comments on the two schools. Any pros or cons are welcome!

Hi- LZ, I applied both school but I might not be able to wait for UCB since their decision timeline for R3 is too late. I love both school and hope below helps:

If you are an IT person and still hope to get back to this industry, Berkeley is a better choice, purely because of the location. You have way much better working opportunity in the Bay area.

If not, then Darden is better, better ranking, strong general management, good consultant/i-banking placements etc. I didn't met any Berkeley people but all Darden people I met or communicated to are great. They are smart, nice and VERY VERY proud of Darden - you can not find that proud in many other higher ranked schools.

Apart from career focus and location, you may also want to take into consideration the different learning style / environment in the two schools.

UVA or Berkeley? Maybe it's also questions of "rigor or diversity" and "knowledge or "social life"?

Just my 2 cents
