Got Scholarship From Smith (Maryland)

终于等到Smith的奖学金消息:第一年tuition and fees waiver, 总计$36000+，第二年每学期about $10000，工作180小时。

第一次收到这样的offer，第二年 *大* 缩* 水！不知道有没有CDers收到Smith类似的奖学金。



搞不懂Smith的策略；自己感觉形同鸡肋，准备据了Smith，接受Carlson（U of Minnesota）的full tuition+$5000stipend/year的offer。



不过仍想听听大家的高见，这样选择是否明智。

恭喜一下LZ，能否share一下背景先？

至于两个学校的选择，个人我会偏好Smith. 明尼苏达据说经济状况不是很好，冬天更是大雪不止，但是Smith的location好啊，到D.C才半个小时车程，日后找工作或是intern什么的都方便。

不过我觉得先去读了再说.LZ 怎么选这两个学校取决于你的背景啊,别人很难给意见,或者你说说你的背景.

Congratulation first! Your offer is the best of Smith School, it is the highest honor. You will only work 10-12 hours a week in the second year, and pay the in-state tuition about USD 20K. And the Community Ambasador in 2nd year is a GA position, you will get bi-weekly allowance almost covering your living expense.

I don't know how much Calson give you. Just wish you good luck!

In my opinion, if you can get internship in the summer, you can earn over 10k $ to cover some of your tuition in the second year.

The money is not a big problem. The question is which area has more marketing job opportunities in the future.
