我的问题是，为何不能选E？如何分析这最后一句话（即but it does not read like an apprentice work.）的句子结构？

这道题我一开使也选E, 后来想想可能是前面有个 but转则. 要用否定吧.E用unlike并不是否定原句.所以要用A.

请会的NN给讲讲.

C) 同上
D) like不接句子。
E) 不象在like前动词上否定, 不用unlike。
我不太明白，还是有点晕。。。有哪位可以说得比较清楚一点的？

我的解释如下：

like作为介词作“象”、“类似”解时，可以表示“象某些事”、或者是“类似某些行为”的意思。例如：
大全119，computers can be programmed to think like people.
He eats like a pig!

但是unlike呢？好像也说得过去啊。难道GMAT商业英语prefer “like”，而不喜欢unlike吗？

同意。GMAT中根本无动词+UNLIKE的用法。

有了，前辈的指点如下：

1。白勇先生是这样说的：do like 用法正确，但是do unlike 永远错。这是个习惯用法的问题，记住就行了。
2。老美喜欢用否定前置。例如：
"I don't think you are right" rather than "I think you are not right"
"It doesn't seems to be the right answer" rather than "It seems not to be the right answer"

根本上的原因是: 与A do, like B/A do, unlike B结构中like和unlike做比较不同,read like还有look like等等,like不是作为比较出现的,而是作为不及物动词的介词出现.

A中an apprentice work是作为宾语;E中的an apprentice work是作为主语的比较对象
