my 2 cents:

1) "womanhood" is improper in C. Think about "childhood".

"womanhood" :[uncountable]

1 the state of being a woman, not a man or a girl

2 formal women in general [↪ manhood]

2) "That she is a woman"  parallels "That the new editor ... to a leadership position".
