为什么这里用"discriminate between A and B"(C) ， 不用"discriminate A from B"(A)? 因为插入语的缘故？还是这两个词组意思上的区别？

另外， 我翻看OG15的解释， 好象ETS对“discriminate A from B”不满， 只承认"discriminate between A and B"。

sb discriminate between A and B
- discriminate ..from..  = able tell the difference between A, B, able to identify A and B
- subject must be a person

1, discriminate between, to tell the difference between (2 or more tings or people), esp  so as to choose the best
2, discriminte from , to tell the difference between (one thing or person) and (another) esp. so as to choose the best
