以下是引用gmatplayer在2005-12-18 2:47:00的发言:

The percentage of international students is not low...

Comparing with schools in Mid-West, this ratio is fine; however, USC is a school known for their openness to international students, many other programs at this school have extremely high proportion of international students. 10% is low compared to other programs at USC.

Also, USC is located in Southern California, a very diverse place; most schools here have higher proportion of inetrnational students on average than schools in other parts in the US.  For example, the percentage of internationals in UCI's graduate schools is about 40-50%; for UCSD and UCLA, the ratio may be even higher. Compared with other schools in Southern California and other programs at USC, USC's Macc program indeed has much lower proportion of inetrnational students.

According to what they told my husband (he asked the same question several months ago), international applicants still have to submit TSE report even with new TOEFL scores. So my husband did take TSE. You can confirm this again with the secretaries in USC's accounting department.

Yep, this is true. However, there are chances of getting work abroad with a US tax degree at one of the big 4 in their international tax division. In this case, he'll be working on transfer pricing, which is probably one of the better (at least more interesting) jobs for a tax specialist. Of course, such job opportunities are rare, but they still exist.

You are exempt from the TSE but you need to write the TOFEL (I know it sounds strange, but I asked)
