Comparing with schools in Mid-West, this ratio is fine; however, USC is a school known for their openness to international students, many other programs at this school have extremely high proportion of international students. 10% is low compared to other programs at USC.
Also, USC is located in Southern California, a very diverse place; most schools here have higher proportion of inetrnational students on average than schools in other parts in the US. For example, the percentage of internationals in UCI's graduate schools is about 40-50%; for UCSD and UCLA, the ratio may be even higher. Compared with other schools in Southern California and other programs at USC, USC's Macc program indeed has much lower proportion of inetrnational students. |
