同意selina和番茄的理解，符合逻辑，而且有意义，尽管从没见过这样的表达法......

不过，我对og11（OG11-30）的解释中not so much as a whisper was heard from the crowd部分觉得有点困惑，哪位大虾有这么用的例子么？

没搞懂为什么这里用SO MUCH AS EVEN不对?

可以理解为INVENTORY IS SO MUCH THAT EVEN..

         存货如此之多以至于....

我这样理解为何不对呢?

只看到 "so much ... that...", 比如:

There was so much smoke that they couldn't see across the hallway.

另外有固定搭配: only so many/much, 意思是: there is only a limited quantity of something

e.g.: There’s only so much that anybody’s brain can handle at any one time.

可是我也還是想不通為什麼是 an inventory & as much as... 繼續頂...

我覺得這一題跟那個美國人有agreement那一題有點像

OG11中说 as much that和 so much that 是incorrect idiom.

根据语法书的解释：“as much that”&“so much that”绝对是incorrect idiom 所以D E不选；“so much as”有even & almost的用法，所以再加上even就多余了，所以B C不选，这样就剩下A了。

刚刚在字典上（http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/so+much+as）查的，关于so much as这个短语：

so much as

1. but rather.   e.g.   I'm not looking at her so much as I am studying her hat.

2. even.           e.g.  From outside, no one could see so much as a light on in the house.

我认为OG11上的解释，比较接近上面第二种用法：

not so much as a whisper was heard from the crowd = not even a whipser was heard from the crowd.

但是OG上说，"Not so much as" is another idiom used only in the negative. 这话我有点不明白。再联合B项的解释："So much as"is not the correct idiom.  OG的意思是不是：这个短语只能有否定形式，而B、C项使用的是肯定形式，所以错。

对于as much as的用法我比较赞同其作为副词词组用来表示程度，不修饰名词，无所谓名词比较是否可数，因为as much as这里是连在一起的，而不是as much...as...
