关于2003年8月的几道题

有几道题和参考答案不一样，所以请教大虾。

我选了a，答案是d。我认为这是倒装，而且d中的they是多余的。

d. water

我选了b，答案给的是a。

23、the water of the atlantic, pacific and indian oceans make up 70.8 percent to the earth's surface.

我选了b,因为water是主语，为不可数名词，谓语应当用单数形式。但答案是c.

还有27题，我选了b(this vegetation patterns )答案是d(distinction between humid america and arid america).

单句是：natural vegetation patterns could be displayed on a map of north america, but the enormous human modification of the north america environment in modern times has all but reduced this regionalization scheme to the level of the hypothetical.问划线部分的含义。

第一个  substance对应的是water  不是organisms  要不就会是substances

但对substance是否一直都是可数 我很有疑问  请牛牛指点

第二个  比较地是密度  不是water 要用that of water

LZ请三思,water在这里是水域的意思,当然可数,推测XDF当时打字的人不会英语只会照葫芦画瓢所以少打了s.导致全国人民全犯了此错误,但无论如何,大错优先,在这里C是一定错的,要改成of.(不过如果water不加s更错.)

大意:虽然自然草木地带的图象被画在了北美地图上,但是人类在现代对北美环境造成的破坏基本上令这一地域性的特征减至一种非事实的层面上了.

举个例子说，如果一个村子叫"板栗村",但是这个村子早就不种板栗了,那村子产板栗的特征便丧失殆尽至一种非事实的层面上了.

注意all but在这里是表示几乎,差一点的意思.
