发表一点拙见,我选E.我认为这句话的中文意思就是:哈雷彗星在19XX年的回归引起了其他历史事件所没有的世界性关注,我还原的原文是As its return in 1910-1911,Hally's comet caused such a world wide sensation in no other historical sighting.我不认为这里的as是"比较"的意思,我认为是when的意思,也就是再改写下原文 When its return in 1910-1911,Hally's comet caused such a world wide sensation in no other historical sighting.

他不对.

首先,句子以no开头,表示否定的词语开头要倒装,(in忽略不看)

Halley's comet didn't cause such a worldwide sensation as in its return of 1910-1911 in any other history sighting

主语是Halley’s comet ,谓语是(did) cause,did倒装放到主语前面,后面是宾语such a worldwide sensation ,然后由as引导的一个定语从句修饰worldwide sensation ,其中worldwide sensation 在从句中宾语.正常语序:

Halley's comet didn't cause such a worldwide sensation as did its return in 1910-1911 in any other history sighting.

在任何一个历史的...没有引起(在1910-1911他的回归应该引起的)注意.

C中定语从句中缺少谓语所以不对.

同意C不正确，我选A，只有A句意是对的，其他都有瑕疵，如下：

In no other historical sighting did Halley’s comet cause such a worldwide sensation  as did its return in 1910-1911.

A.      did its return in 1910-1911

B.       had its 1910-1911 return

C.      in its return of 1910-1911

D.      its return of 1910-1911 did

E.       its return in 1910-1911
