i still feel troubled by the # cause it is not clear whether it included all the mainland chinese passport holders that applying from outside china. that # could be significant. and does that 25 to 30 include these people.

I would first  re-exam myself if I were you. It is not fair to dump all the responsibilities to the Adcom. You are stellar, but not distinguishing. I saw people with much higher GMAT with Ivey undergrat and great experience got dinged in the US. But I prefer their attitude. If you believe there is no room for your improvement, I can ensure you that you will not be admitted next year either.

People learn and grow, sometimes in a hard way. But don't entrap yourself in the ego-centricity.
