In US, the majority of business claim themselves affirmative action/equal oppertunity employers. Yet we all know that although "Everyone is born equal", there are obviously some people that are born "more euqal" than others. And that is why there are so called "underprivilaged" population. A poll indicated that when employers screen resume, the applicants with name that sounds "white" have much better chance to get an interview than those with name that sounds "black".
