The answer is D, however, I think A is better in that the two participle phase which allegely modify Minivans should have a conj between them..

D正确

注意由COST LESS开始，全是比较级，即由COST LESS开始，全是COMPARED WITH MSUV的结果，而前面CARRY AS ...中没有比较级，和后面部分不构成平行，只能用分词形式，说明乐M的特征之一。因此，A是错误的。

我觉得A好。and后是一个省略主语的分句。and前后说的是并列的两件事情。

D不仅有些改变原意，而且，两个分词结构连用，第二个有歧义。
