1）先回答你的问题。--后面确实是对前面的解释，所以要parallel平行结构，关键是理解是对前面什么的解释，根据意思后面提到了suffer导致数量继而gene，所以是对前面believe that xxx中xx的解释，而不是名词population botteneck。所以句子结构是subject + believe that --- xxx，所以xx必须是和believe后面的that从句parallel。
2）考试中不一定有时间意思到这点，可以排除法。
A的结构为ancestors suffered an event， greatly reducingxxx, GMAC中认为reducing是对前面主语的解释而不是event，修饰对象错误。
C, D 中numbers were reduced and genetic variation 错误
E，so as to 没有这个目的的意思
