首先关于这两道题的答案我没有什么异议，

简短写一下，如果有问题麻烦指正：

819：....convinced that [limiting their investments to the U.S. stock market (主语)], [(even though it is certainlyhome to the stocks of some of the world’s great corporations (插入语)], [restricted their gains (谓语和宾语)].
       B/D - which后加逗号使得that引导的从句limiting their investments没有谓语动词, which ,(...), restricted...
       C - 搭配错误，despite the fact that
       E - although后如果是省略的话，逻辑主语应该是limiting their investments, 不能作为certainly as的对象
820: 因为bright the northern lights and knock out...是同一个事件引起的结果，所以从动词形式上应该平行，直接可以选出来C

我的问题是：两个句子都有SVO, VerbED的结构出现，但是如何判断修饰的是SVO中的S，还是O

其中: 819 - Many stock traders in the United States have set out to become global investors, convinced that SVO. 这时候convinced从句意理解，应该是done结构修饰many stock traders
        820 - 选项D：a large storm in the magnetic field that surrounds Earth, recently triggered by an expanding cloud of energized particles, brightened the Northern Lights and it possibly knocked....这里triggered也是done结构，修饰的是Earth还是前面的a large storm，是否可以通过就近修饰earth不符合句意排除该选项？

另外还有几个句子也供大家讨论：

还有一些 “逗号+compared to” 放结尾和就近名词O作对比的例子，没找到原句

当过去分词在句末时，不管有无逗号，一般都是就近修饰名词; 但偶尔也做状语修饰整个句子，如He hurried to the hall, followed by two guards. 修饰情况由逻辑决定。  摘自08语法笔记

个人觉得主要还是根据逻辑意思来看哈，不能根据绝对错误来排除哈~

嗯嗯明白，所以还是说这个点最好放在后面作为排除选项的条件是吧，先找其他绝对错误的点。因为我看网上解析有很多都是直接用错误修饰排除，所以想看是否有规律可循…

很多以前的总结的绝对错误的原则，你会慢慢发现很多都不适用了，错误是相对的， 还是要总体来看的，尤其是修饰语位置一定要看逻辑意思
