不是大神，尝试回答一下。

A resulting from 是个动名词，位于句首，他的逻辑主语是主句的主语，即generations ，像是在表达 “图书馆的毁灭导致了后代”，逻辑太奇怪了。另外 at Alexandria 是修饰 library最好可以紧跟所修饰名词-library，A 选项像是在修饰 ancient world，逻辑错。

E 修饰也有歧义：可以是 Alexandria's （largest library of the ancient world），或者（Alexandria's largest library） of the ancient world，两个都很怪。
E后面的一句话 应该是想表达，the result is that, result 后的表语从句，that不能省略。
