Application Deadlines
2018-2019

The Admissions Committee meets November through May and manages applications in cycles. Because of heavy demand and our small class size, early application is strongly recommended. Applicants should use the following guidelines in completing the application:

Round 2	December 10	February 1	March 1
Round 3	January 14	March 15	April 12
Round 4	March 11*	April 19*	May 10

Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on the application date.

*If space is still available in the class, we will accept applications after the Round 4 deadline. Decisions on applications submitted after the Round 4 deadline will be released on a rolling basis.

Early Action

Our first cycle (deadline October 15, 2018) is the Early Action round. Early Action is an option for applicants who know for certain that they will attend UNC Kenan-Flagler if admitted. Early Action provides applicants with the certainty of learning their decision by December 7, 2018. Admitted applicants in the Early Action cycle will be required to submit a $3000 non-refundable enrollment deposit by January 4, 2019, in order to secure a space in the class (versus the regular deadline enrollment deposit of $1500). You should not apply for Early Action if you are not prepared to commit immediately to attending UNC Kenan-Flagler.

Essays

We have two required essays and one optional essay. The essays for the 2018-2019 application season are:

Please respond to the questions below that will assist us in learning more about you:.

• Tell us what your immediate career goals are and how you will benefit personally and professionally from earning an MBA at Kenan-Flagler Business School.
• As the business world continues to evolve, circumstances can change and guide you in a different direction. Should your goals that you provided above not transpire, what other opportunities would you explore?
  

Question 2:  Required(250 words)
The UNC Kenan-Flagler community lives by its core values: excellence, leadership, integrity, community and teamwork.

• Pick a core value that resonates most deeply with you.
• Identify the most challenging situation that you have encountered and how you responded while upholding that core value.
  

Question 3:  Optional(300 words)
Is there any additional information not presented elsewhere in your application that you would like the admissions committee to consider? Optional areas to address include:

• If you have not had coursework in the core business subjects (calculus, microeconomics, statistics, financial accounting), how will you prepare yourself?
• Inconsistent academics, gaps in work, or low standardized test scores
• Choice of recommenders
