4/16发的面试 昨天早上收的录取信
对SPS 这么一个有争议的program 作为一个fresh graduate真的瑟瑟发抖...刚发了邮件给学校 问了几个最争议的问题：
1. 到底是M.S DEGREE 还是 M.S professional study, 毕业书和其他的学院到底有没有区别
2. 上课时间 （其实我有向第二届 ERM的学姐了解过 她斩钉截铁告诉我她们是白天上课呀 但这个真实性需要考证而且是针对ERM) ; 我已发了邮件核实 non-profit 上课时间
3. 在职人员／中国人多 我询问了: how many students have same background (fresh graduate undergrads & international student) as me?

以上问题收到回复我会在这个帖子里更新 发这个的目的很简单 希望通过分享一手信息 让以后像我一样收到sps offer的朋友不要胆战心惊 能有一个自己的判断／而不是依赖于网上的撕逼贴

另，针对sps 学院学生不能使用校内服务，不能选其他专业的课，不被校内所承认的问题，我找到了这份 sutdent handbook， 希望大家仔细阅读后给出理性，正确的评价。 我cite几段重要的话：

1.About cross registration:
"There are three types of cross registration:
1.Registration across SPS departments
2.Registration across the University
3.Registration at other institutions with which Columbia has a formal agreement
* Permission to register for courses in other divisions of the University depends on the course, the school that offers it, and thestudent’s academic status within the School of Professional Study
*SCHOOLS NOT GRANTING ACCESS TO PROFESSIONAL STUDIES STUDENTS (以下学校是不能gurantee cross registration的）
1.School of Professional Studies students are not normally allowed to cross-register in courses in the schools listed below:
2.School of Law
3.College of Dental
4.MedicineSchool of Nursing
5.College of Physicians and Surgeons
6.School of General Studies
7.School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation
8.Graduate School of Journalism
9.Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science“ （p.26-27)

换言之，其余的学院（如图），像Business／Arts Science，gpa好，获得学院permission的情况下是可以的
虽然不知道 columbia 其他的学院能否 cross register law/dental/nuring/surgeons 的课， 但说实话按照handbook上给的可以cross reg的学院，对于我来说，资源够了。

对于使用学校的其他资源， handbook p.10开始阐述的非常清楚，有兴趣的同学可以下载下来看一下， 以上是我简要归纳的：
academic resources include such as library, writing center, computer lab...
campus resources include such as Columbia University Events Calendar/Dodge Physical Fitness Center
...

NPM之前叫做fundraising, 后来才改名, 私募之类的很宠这个专业啊
