“Of our current 20 students, 11 are former Cornell undergrads and 9 are from other schools, 7/9 from US schools, two from international schools.  Of the 20 students, 5 are international- all from China, but educated in the US.  Of the 20 students, 13 have jobs to join after graduation, 7 are still in the process.  ALL of the international students are still seeking full time employment. With the current US visa situation creating havoc for the potential employers, they are reluctant to roll the dice on hiring foreign nationals.  For the coming academic year, I do not think we will be able to bring on a similar number of international students unless they have already obtained a summer 2018 internship that will likely lead to a full time employment offer post-graduation.“

以上是我申请的时候给director发邮件问diversity时他回复给我的原文。所以面试的时候他问我有没有summer 18的intern的时候我本来已经觉得自己凉了。。但既然最后录取了那就说明虽然缩减人数也不至于一个都不收，所以大家focus在自己的career plan上，说服他让他觉得你能找到工作应该还是有希望的！

不是STEM哦，accounting的项目据我所知只有OSU今年变成STEM了，其他应该都不是

啊那我就不清楚了，可能项目不一样流程也不一样吧，我r1申请大概1/15左右收到面试邮件的
