我选的E,因为
1) "one's later years",是不对的,这里的one的用法是 强调“worker”,所以 oneself或者themselves更合适,因此A和D不对
2)主语是Pensions是复数,而 “,money blah blah” 是独立词组(absolute phrase) 是对于主语的延伸说明,所以a worker没有workers合适。因此 B 和 C不对
3)最后就是E了
我觉得 E 看起来不那么顺眼因为它omit了 “that”,原句应该是:“, money [that] workers are compelled to put away...." 不过英语中有这样的表达方式,如: The movie THAT we watched yesterday was great. = The movie we watched yesterday was great.
