Split1 :词的用法 : Usher/ Usher in
A usher B in.
A usher B into X. (表A把B引到X,目的具体)
但是 A usher in B in/into X,这里Redundancy了 ,eliminate ABC
Split2 : D/E PK
continue to do / doing 后者更口语,前者更书面,当然这个差别很小,说服力不够,但先提出来;
A/ E 对比:
A. Gusty westerly winds will continue to usherin a seasonably cool air mass into the region, as a broad area of high pressure will build and bring fair and dry weather for several days.
E. Gusty westerly winds willcontinue to usher a seasonably cool air mass into the region while a broad area of high pressure builds, which will bring fair and dry weather for several days.
这里which 不是修饰前面整句话,而是修饰“a broad area of high pressure” 因为如果不会产生歧义的情况下,且which能合理修饰到前面antecedent的情况下,中间是可以加入类似表“come into being, arrival, positioning" 的动词 e.g. A new CEO is coming who will change the way our company does business
