Your good question has a simple answer: Always go with the higher overall score. Because that is what the schools use in their ranking.

For your profile in general: it seems pretty awesome.You have US Taiwan and Japan, with what seems to be good leadership and strong promotions. It’s always a great place to start!
To find out exactly which schools you would fit, I’d love to learn more about you and your profile, but Top 10 schools seems in order!

Hey Jon,

I'm facing a similar dilemma and wonder if you have insights into this. I just took gmat today and got a mid-700 score which I'm pleased with. However, I slipped on IR and only got a 5 (54 percentile). I'm just wondering if something like this stands out and catches people's attention when you're attempting a school like Harvard where everyone has near perfect stats.
