关于国内金融行业target school

I have to believe you on this topic......which is surly a sad story for most student here.

at the end it is kind of word of mouths........I am from HK, and tons of students go overseas for study every year. so I cant imagine any HR (from a decent size company) who doesn't know anyone study overseas.....
so I admit that I do overestimate that somehow.

我也就是冲着回国就业的 所以现在选学校的时候很动摇  我申请MSF的 我甚至觉得Rochester这样的学校都还没JHU带来的帮助大  现在我在积极找各种名校的好进一点的项目 就算是不是很金融的我也能接受  这让我觉得很无奈 因为课程并不是我喜欢的  但是人就是要很现实啊  我也不知道怎么样比较好了
请问一下在全球范围内的学校回国认可度上面（就是至少过简历关）这个，新加坡的国立 香港的港大和港科  英国的牛剑LSE 帝国理工  和美国的学校（top10  JHU WUSTL NYU Rochester Brandies这些）之间的认可度高低可以排一下么？

个人感觉，就非特别精英的地方比如外资投行或者咨询什么的，基本就是按照名气来：美国TOP10如那几所耳熟能详的或者藤校比如康奈尔》=牛剑》香港的几所》帝国理工》新加坡国立》 LSE（在大陆不见得比香港那几所好使，在香港应该很好使）》=美国的其他没听过的但是排名还可以的top20》美国的其他

我们学校去港科大的那个金数的特别多 相对而言港科大比美国top10-20对于我来说更好申请   香港的几所有这么高的认可度吗 仅次于牛剑？如果真的是这样我就申一下HKU和HKUST了

额 我说的是top10 和 10-3x的那几所  所以就是美国top10才有意义么

你说商科么。。。？ 真的美国top 10 - 20 更好申请？我第一反应是西北，WUSTL，Vandy，康奈尔，Dartmouth，UCB，ND，除了WUSTL的海外项目没一个容易的。不过JHU确实是比HKUST和HKU总体上容易。
也没有认可度仅次于牛剑这么夸张啦，这个东西也就是我的一个个人感觉，每个用人单位也不一样。不能说是绝对的认可度，说名气更符合我的意思一些。

It makes great sense to me for HR in HK to know tons about overseas studies, just like domestic HR know a lot about HK universities.

1. he/she is talking about financial mathematics.
well, not all top university in US has MFE...the picture is not the same as businss i will say.

2. I guess we don't have to rank them too precisely indeed. for interviewing selection process, it is just in or out only.

don't over estimate JHU WUSTL Rochester Brandies........

there are tons of US school that are famous, but don't offer a MSF at all.
you have to count them in.
