123. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? People should read only those books that are about real events, real people, and established facts. Use specific reasons and details to support your opinion.

I am always amazed when I heard people saying that we should read only those books related to real events, real people and established facts. Although I do not deny that books containing established facts reflect the history of our society and the progress of thinking, books full with imagination, on the other hand, could provide us with enjoyment, vivid wisdom of human being, and passion of the future world. I will opposite the former opinion by describing three kinds of books following.

To begin with, scientific fictions always provide us a vision of future development of society and science. Based on the principle of solid theories, these fictions describe the battles, the weapons and the lives of the virtual world. Even if these episodes do not exist in the current real world , they often come into true after a few years. For instance, scientific fiction predicted the existence of spacecraft, which is invented by scientists of later period and now plays an important role in exploring unknown space. By reading these fictions, we can get in touch with the newest science and technology and devote ourselves to pursue better tomorrow.

Next, there is no denying that, fairy stories play a paramount role in our childhood. We grow up along with these beautiful stories. They teach us what is right, what is wrong, and what is beautiful. It is obvious that these books are not composed of real stories, however, no one can refuse to recognize the benefit we gain from them.

Further more, many classic books are not proven to be real events, such as Bible and Buddhism, while still plenty of people read them everyday and follow the instructions of them.

Of course, I do not deny the importance of books of real events and real people, such as history books and autobiographies of celebrates. But judging by above three types of books, I prefer to read all books containing reasonable reasoning and unlimited imagination.
