这里的平行结构是“a drop”与“that in the nation”平行

我认为more than结构需要遵循严格的平行结构，前句应该包含in California才能和in the nation严格对等，正确选项的平行有些不能理解

这里的平行标志不是more than 而是as great as，more than是twice的修饰语，平行的元素是a drop和that

that指代a drop那么这两个不是完全相等的吗？比较的不应该包括California和nation吗？

that就是指那个同类型东西的另一个，不然如果只指同一个的话就用it了。

啊这个我理解了，不过我还是认为应该有in California 和 in the nation的平行才能满足这个平行结构的严格对等

没有，in California已经是understood，不需要再强调，而且GMAT不要求所有成分都平行

很多题都不会要求你说的那种严格对仗，随便举一例：In recent years cattle breeders have increasingly used crossbreeding, in part that their steers should acquire certain characteristics and partly because crossbreeding is said to provide hybrid vigor.
(A) in part that their steers should acquire certain characteristics
(B) in part for the acquisition of certain characteristics in their steers
(C) partly because of their steers acquiring certain characteristics
(D) partly because certain characteristics should be acquired by their steers
(E) partly to acquire certain characteristics in their steers
