关于一道语法题求解。“or”的用法

答案是E，楼主看到A马上选了，因为感觉A非常平行。答案的解释中说forests做slowing和damaging的宾语，因为把A补全就是slowing the growth forests。楼主的疑惑是A选项中the growth可以单独做slowing的宾语吗？这样forests做damaging的宾语，the growth做slowing的宾语不是很平行吗？求解答啊！！

按你的说法，那growth是指什么的生长？没有定语，那可能性太多，比如是human's growth。
可是按逻辑来，句子肯定讲的是growth of the forest啦。

所以平行题不能钻牛角尖啦，而且要仔细哦。
