请教OG13 SC 36题 当中seem的问题

各位大神好

1.      Along with the drop in producerprices announced yesterday, the strong retail sales figures released today seemlike it is indicative that the economy, although growing slowly, is not nearing a recession.

A.     like it is indicative that

B.     as if to indicate

C.     to indicate that

D.     indicative of

E.      like an indication of

这道题我选择了E

纠结于seem的用法，按理来说seem to和seem like的用法应该都可以啊

而且E当中的like后面连接的是单词而不是句子，我看到有一些地方的解释是seem和like语义重复，但是我觉得并没有啊。求解。

根据后面没划线的部分还有the economy is...的内容应该是一句话！

另外，like和unlike在GMAT中一般只用作比较，需要有严格平行的比较对象。
