谢谢你!看了你的回复之后我又找了很多关于比较结构的帖子,看到有个NN这样说:
STEP3:意识到step2这一点之后,就可以运用Ron的方法了。下面是quotation:
1/ identify the right-hand element (= the one that follows the comparison signal)
2/ ask yourself whether this element SHOULD be part of the comparison, according to context/common sense. (There are no "omissions" here. if the stuff following the signal isn't actually compared to something else, the sentence is wrong.)
3/ if so, try to find something that matches it on the other side. if you find such a thing, you're good.
o judge "beauty contests" among answer choices, on the other hand, all you need is the simple ability to say "this looks more like X than that does".
e.g.:
a) Oil prices in 2007 were higher than those in 2008.
ànoun+modifier vs. noun+modifier
b) Oil prices were higher in 2007 than in 2008.
àadv. vs. adv.
c) Oil prices were higher in 2007 than oil prices in 2008.
d) The weather is hot and dry in Nevada, as it is in Arizona.
àsentence vs. sentence
e) As in Arizona, the weather is hot and dry in Nevada.
àadv. vs. adv.
注意:Ron说的no “omissions”,是什么意思,lz觉得很有必要解释一下。用上面的例子来说明,严格意义上讲,b) c) d) e)都算是omission,但是在比较结构中,b) d) e)都正确,而c)错误。
c)中,in 2008作为noun modifiers修饰oil prices,但是the left-hand element没有一个noun modifiers修饰oil prices呀,只有一个verb modifiers修饰oil prices were higher。所以不对嘛。
回过头看b),好理解了吧,都是verb modifiers,比较the situation in 2007和the situation in 2008.
然而在这一题的D选项里面,the current one不能对应the proposed speed吗?按周这个NN的话来说,第二个as后面的东西只要z在它前面存在不就可以了吗? |
