| 185题库中第88篇:电话和电子邮件是否使得人们的交往不那么亲密?同意与否?
Telephone and e-mail nowadays are becoming two important ways for many people to realize their communications with others. But some people argue that human beings have gone so far as to be isolated from others due to these technique, for they seems to make go-off unnecessary after widespread use of telephone and e-mail. While in my point of view, there are numerous reasons that I disagree with the statement that phone and e-mail have made communication between people less personal.
The most obvious reason is that these two means of communication provide more convenience for far-reaching relatives and close friends. The only thing they needed to do is to dial the clearly heard. And now people even are able to see the other side from the screen which is attached to the videophone. Just like a face-to-face talk, it indeed offers more chance of communication for those who have difficulty in sitting down together to chat away about trivial things in the daily life.
To take my idea further, it has significantly accelerated the speed of intercommunication after e-mail has come into being. In old days, people had to wait for ages until they got some person’s news. Now, you only need to strike the enter key on the keyboard, and the e-mail have already reached the accurate destination. Also, you can get in touch with others as soon as possible as long as you have their correct phone number. So you can reach them whenever you want to contact them.
Furthermore, it may be a perfect way for individual to cultivate good interpersonal relationship. One could make a phone call to greet other persons every now and then. It might contain many meanings, such as affection, miss, friendship, respect. It also might be able to bring people with some good luck or unexpected chance.
Given all the point above, I think it is too tempting to say that both of these two ways of communication have make our distance farther and farther.
