关于v-ing一直以来的疑惑 求nn们解释

先来贴一个从prep2008语法笔记的解释上面摘录的一段

1.        V-ing(present participle)修饰：
V-ing结构在句子中可以做定语，状语。
1)        放在句子末尾时，如果前面是主谓宾结构，如果同时时态上与主句搭配合理，V-ing结构作状语，作为：
**        伴随动作，表与主句动词同时发生的动作
**        伴随结果，表主句动作带来的结果。
此时注意其逻辑主语的判断：其所修饰分句的动作发出者。
2)        放在句子末尾时，如果前面是主谓宾结构，如果同时时态上与主句搭配不合理(如本题D,E选项)，V-ing结构作定语修饰前面名词。
如果前面是主系表结构，由于系动词是一个状态不存在“被伴随”，但是V-ing结构依然修饰的是整个主系表结构，所以后面的V-ing结构也可以被解读为修饰前面的名词成分—主语（如果宾语是名词，也一同修饰，因为主系表结构中主语和宾语所指是同一事物--见OG10-39, OG11-24中对正确选项C的解释）

（不太明白这个所谓的时态搭配合理是什么。。。ving还有时态搭配之说？？？）

根据RON的SC视频：逗号+Ving结构中动作的发生时间，必须紧邻主句动作的发生时间。
RIGHT：The pedestrian was struck by a taxi，mourning with great pain.
WRONG：The pedestrian was struck by a taxi，dying 20 minutes later.(时间不同步）

在AB之间纠结了好久
有几个问题：
1.如何判断allowing是否做伴随状语？
2.allowing如果不是做伴随状语 那么它可能发出的逻辑主语不是有两个 这样不是就容易引起歧义吗

1. 必須要看句意的。

2. 在句尾Ving找邏輯主語的判斷上，主語 / 整件事情 / 緊接在逗號前的名詞 配上去
只要有一個句意合理那就是對了。這部份GMAT的SC不認為是修飾不清的歧異。

您好 有一道题是这样的

The Olympic games helped to keep peace among  the pugnacious states of the greek world, proclaiming a scared truce...
出处我忘记了 应该是 OG 或者GWD上面的
之前看笔记说 这里的proclaiming就是错误的 因为不能确定 who would do the proclaiming。。

而OG 16 的96答案是这样的：
A mutual fund having billions of dollars in assets will typically invest that money in hundreds of companies, rarely holding more than one percent of the shares of any particular.
这里的holding 答案说就是refer to fund （how about companies？ is that possible？）

能否请您解释一下呢 还是不太明白

comma＋ving永远修饰前一个分句的subject或者前一整个分句，第一句话奥运会不能proclaim，应当是人们proclaim，所以错误；第二句因为mutual fund是主语，逻辑意思就是mutual fund很少会持有某种股票超过1%。comma＋ving当且仅当前面只有一个名词，才能修饰离得最近的名词
