Yes, been here for 5 years now. At big 4 firms, many schools are New York office's target schools. I'm from a Big Ten school, 1/3 of the students here go to work in New York office. I'm not too familiar with Binghamton, but I'm pretty sure it's not the "feeder school" for New York office. It may be true for American students, but it definitely NOT the case for Chinese students (especially if you haven't studied in the U.S. already). You're probably lucky to even get an on-campus interview invitation. For non-big 4 internships, New York does have more opportunities. But the competition pool is larger too with all those good schools in the East Coast. And whether those internships can turn into a sponsored full-time or whether it is paid is also something you need to think about. |
