If you want to find a job and stay in the states, Loyola or DePaul is your best bet. Not to discourage you, but you won't stand a chance in New York if you get an MBA from St John's or the other school. There are way too many good schools and good accounting programs in NYC. Your resume probably won't even pass the initial screening there. But in Chicago area, Loyola and DePaul are considered the second best schools behind U of Chicago and Northwestern by the locals. Luckily UC and Northwestern don't have accounting program which means accounting students from Loyola or DePaul are highly regarded by the companies in the Greater Chicago Area. Plus, the cost of living is lower in Chicago than in NYC. For instance, $1200 will only get you a bedroom with roommates in Queens but can get you your own lakeshore apartment in Chicago. |
