In terms of "Target School", it really depends on regions. For example, in Chicago office, a firm would hire a lot of students from UIUC and ND; in D.C. office, a firm would hire a lot of students from GWU, UVA and CWM. They also hire few candidates from other small programs, but it really depends. The hiring process in some brand name schools are much simpler, and nearly every qualified master-level student would have 2 interviews (or one interview) and get a full-time offer after master's programs. But in small schools or so-called non-target schools, many students will not even get an interview since it is so competitive and a firm will not spend much time on interviewing everyone. |
