Who we are

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you need to consider the Double MS Degree Program at UTDallas. Here you can earn your Master’s in Accounting degree, pass the U.S. CPA exam and earn your second Master’s degree in only two years!
Year 1: The MS in Accounting Cohort Program
During their first semester at UTDallas, students take 15 credit hours.
These courses prepare students for the United States’ CPA exam while they simultaneously earn a master’s degree in accounting.
In the second semester, students take nine credit hours, including the ethics course that is a requirement for U.S. CPA and CPA review courses.They also take all four sections of the official CPA examination. They have time to prepare for the CPA exam.
The four sections of the CPA exam are: Financial, Audit, Business Environment and Regulation.
Optional Year 2 Example: The MS in Business Analytics Program
During their first semester,students complete nine credit hours toward the MS in Business Analytics degree. Students can choose any of the MS degree programs offered in the School.
These courses help students explore and prepare for internship opportunities.

MS in Accounting Cohort Program
The program helps students develop global leadership and communication skills to be successful accounting professionals.
The program is designed to have each student complete the MS in Accounting degree, sit for the U.S. CPA examination and enhance English communication and leadership skills. We will assist you to navigate the U.S. CPA application requirements. This is an accelerated program and the students will receive the same MS in Accounting degree as the regular program.
The program is completed in an intensive 12-month period. This creates considerable cost savings for the student in terms of living expenses.It saves 12 to-24 months of living expense —versus a longer program. The living-expense savings alone can be $26,000 to$40,000.

Based on your excellent credentials, we would like to make you aware of our accelerated cohort MS Accounting program in our School. Subject to your approval, we would like to consider you for this program, with an option of continuing onto one of our other MS programs such as MS in Business Analytics. The Master of Science in Accounting Cohort Program is a highly selective, elite program that is designed to not only obtain an MS in Accounting degree, but also prepare you rigorously for the U.S. Certified Public Accounting (CPA) exam in one year. The U.S. CPA pass rates for the MS in Accounting Cohort program for 2010-2014 is 95%.
In addition, you will have the option to continue onto one of our other MS programs in the second year for an additional 19 credit hours.We have enclosed a brochure of the program which provides the program outline with an example of continuing onto an MS in Business Analytics program in the second year, as well as Frequently Asked Questions document that will be helpful.
If you are selected into the MS in Accounting Cohort program, the tuition for the MS in Accounting degree will be $34,000 – payable in installments of $12,000 in Fall 2016, $11,000 in Spring 2017 and $11,000 in Summer 2017. This reflects a scholarship award that has been applied to the tuition of approximately $14,000 based on the current tuition rate for this accelerated program of $48,000. Please note the scholarship award is applied directly towards your tuition cost, and as such will not be paid out to you in cash. Furthermore, the scholarship is only applicable if you continue in this program and is not transferable to other programs in the School or University.

Please note that we will conduct an interview, and based on that an admission decision will be made.
