I think the very first question is.........preference of working location, and preferred type of division/role after graduation.
e.g. if you wanna work as an accountant (e.g. audit in big 4) in HK, then of course HKUST accounting.
and if your UK bachelor is from a good enough school (e.g. G5), and have good internship before, and wanna have a hit in IB, and you want the title and knowledge, then MSc Finance can be the choice.
e.g. and etc........imagine more case.
Of course, I will suggest HKUST one more, but becoz it is HKUST over CUHK , but mainly becoz I believe that an accounting degree is more useful than finance in job seeking in financial industry, especially if one are on CFA.
P.S. some points to make here is:
1. concerning location / distance of HKUST (and also CUHK) from city center is a very very stupid idea.
2. if you are planing to find a role in HK, you don't have to worry much about difference between HKU/CUHK/HKUST. You will get (not get) the interview with either one of them, and the rest depends on yourself.
