以下是引用luckymomoko在2006-1-1 1:24:00的发言:I am from Shanghai, now working in Pudong Shangri-La Hotel for about 1 year (sales department).I once worked in JW Marriott for about 4 months, just finished my school training programme there. I decide to apply for the 2007 Master programme, but it sounds difficult for me since the low GPA (only 2.74) in my university. Both of my professors and my boss recommended me strongly, but I still feel so lonely. Hope I can find some friends here. do I still have the chance to apply for the degree, jwodae? P/S Happy New Year to all hospitality major graduates!!!
my msn is: momokojulia(A) hotmail.com QQ is : 85482749 It depends on your other credentials as well, such as Gmat score and the quality of your personal statement. The personal statement requires that you build a case to expand on why they should recruite you and to explain why you had a lower gpa, what your career goal is and why you choose this school, etc. I believe the admission committee sees similar writings every day, so you need to make it unique and personalized, building it upon your very own life and work experience and career goals. Don't worry too too much about your gpa. Is your last two years' gpa higher? if so, focus on that. Same thing applied to the recommendation letter. Ask your recommenders to use expamples that demonstrate your leadership and critical thinking, as well as devotion and interest in the hospitality industry. Remember: Fancy words won't help, examples/deeds will. Sorry to respond to you so late; I don't come here often enough.
