Verbal review SC 63--不理解capable to修饰的内容

请教各位NN，OG对于下面的C中的inflicting的解释是，
C It is not clear what the participial inflicting modifiers. 我的问题是，如果这里的inflict有问题，那下面的capable of也有这样的问题呀，到底是作为noun modifer修辞food processors呢，还是作为伴随状语伴随equiped这个动词,逻辑主语是kitchen呢，还是修辞的是electricl gadgets。为什么capable of就没有这个问题呢。


63. Many kitchens today are equipped with high-speed electrical gadgets, such as
blenders and food processors, which are able to inflict as serious injuries as those
caused by an industrial wood-planing machine.

OG自己的意思是，这个句子需要对比的seriousness of an injury，就是伤病的严重程度，我第一眼想选A其实。。。但是后来看OG它说这个A对比的是严重的伤病，一个病的状态，而不是程度

后来我再继续看，我觉得B也挺对。。但是OG又说了，such as在这里翻译出来的意思是说 electrical gadgets造成的伤害(你如果不知道是什么样话)，such as(就像)那种东西造成的一样，就是说切口大小，流血多少啦 都可以参考后面那个东西
也就是说，这个题关键的考点应该是比较，而不是在于用capable of 或者which。

这就是我个人的感觉

comma + participle的用法：
摘自Manhattan 论坛中Ron的解释：
(1) It should apply most nearly to the subject of the preceding clause
(2) it should have one of the following RELATIONSHIPS to that clause:
＃immediate consequence
a consequence that is proximate, immediate, and produced as an essentially unavoidable result of the main clause
#simultaneous, but lower-priority, action

以下是个人总结
comma + -ing 与comma + -ed是不同的
comma + -ing同Ron
comma + -ed分词中的-ed分词是形容距离其最近的那个名词的，因为－ed分词是essential noun modifier,优先于non-essential noun modifier的。
而－ed分词跟你所说的那个be capable of doing这个modifier是一样的，去掉了be，直接comma+capable of doing是就近修饰前面的那个名词，作为essential noun modifier 存在。

总结：
63. Many kitchens today are equipped with high-speed electrical gadgets, such as
blenders and food processors, which are able to inflict as serious injuries as those
caused by an industrial wood-planing machine.
(A) which are able to inflict as serious injuries as those
(B) which can inflict serious injuries such as those
(C) inflicting injuries as serious as that having been
(D) capable to inflict injuries as serious as that
(E) capable of inflicting injuries as serious as those
C: 若是immediate consequence或者是simultaneous, but lower-priority, action
inflicting后面修饰的是主句。而根据后面的比较比较的是those caused by an industrial wood-planing machine,这就不合适了。应该是拿food processors同后面的an industrial wood-planing mashine.
而且C中的that不对啊，纸袋的应该是injuries,是复数，应该用those.

的确句子其他部分就有错误也能判断出答案，但我还是觉得Capable这个为什么可以修饰gadgets呢，不过最近看感觉-ing修饰是可以跳过插入语修饰前面的名词的，那估计adj modifier也同理吧。。我猜的
